Little Simz announces debut album A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons
The Kendrick Lamar-tipped North London rapper Little Simz has announced the title of her anticipated forthcoming album, A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons.
Following on the back of the popularity of a series of self-released EPs and that nod from K Dot (who told MistaJam on BBC Radio 1 that “she might be one of the illest doing it right now”) there’s definitely an air of expectation growing around the quickly acclaimed artist. But, if the hardworking young emcee’s propensity for speaking directly, whilst projecting a blunt and inward looking vein of honestly is anything to go by, the long player, which is set to be released on her own AGE 101: Music label later this year, could well set a new standard for British hip hop lyricism.
To mark the announcement Simz has dropped a ‘stripped’ version of her brand new single ‘Wings’.
But to get an idea of how potent and caustic she can be on a beat that comes rugged like Lex Luger, peep her 6 month old clip for "Intervention".
