Little Scream joins forces with TV On The Radio’s Kyp Malone for "The Kissing"
Canada's Little Scream join forces with TV On The Radio's Kyp Malone "as the voice of a Magic 8-Ball with the power to give eerily specific answers."
"This is a Tina Turner influenced ballad featuring Kyp Malone as the voice of my conscience," Little Scream wrote of the track. "To me the crown jewel of this song is the guitar and vocal solo after the first chorus – I'd never attempted a guitar solo before, so I started by singing what I wanted to hear first through a vocal processor, then doing hours of takes on guitar to get something useable. It's my favorite moment of the live show right now, it makes me feel like Peter Frampton."
Following summer dance anthem "Love As A Weapon" and the hauntingly cinematic "Someone Will Notice", "The Kissing" is the first of many collaborations to feature on the record. Sufjan Stevens, Sharon Van Etten, Aaron and Bryce Dessner (The National), Owen Pallett, and Mary Margaret O’Hara all make guest apperances on the upcoming release.
