Little Green Cars to release debut album in May
BBC Sound of 2013 longlisters, Little Green Cars have revealed details of their debut album.
Absolute Zero will be released on 13 May via Island Records/Glassnote Records.
Singer Stevie Appleby said of the release:
“This record constantly jumps between two contrasting perspectives: the beauty of a reckless youth and the fear and confusion caused by our ever-pending adulthood. It’s a hopeful and naïve look at love and life in general but also deals with isolation, unrequited love and madness. We wanted to express both a feeling of strength and vulnerability, so the work had to encompass both the light and dark.”
It’ll be preceded by an EP, Harper Lee,on 4 March, a short-player focused around the band’s single of the same title.
The band will play the following live dates this month:
February
26 – Hoxton Hall, London
27 – Soup Kitchen, Manchester
28 – Louisiana, Bristol
