Watford folk three-piece The Staves are streaming the opening track from their upcoming EP, The Blood I Bled.
The twinkling ditty was produced by the band; It features knuckle-crunch stabs and low, marching drum thwomps, muffled by layers of fluttering guitar arpeggios. The sister's voices stand out as a highlight as they weave stellar, mesmerising harmonies, gradually ascending to a monumental climax in unison. It's emotionally wrought, but never maudlin. There's an ounce of hope to discover.

The Blood I Bled EP is out 27 October on Atlantic. You can pre-order it here.
