Superproducer MNEK is in the middle of preparing his new single "The Rhythm", and to tease the release further, he's just dropped a Little Simz remix of the cut.
Simz warps the floorfiller into grimier territory. It's still unmistakeably MNEK, with huge dance beats and hooks, but Simz's big bass pulses, sampled vox waves, and rap interludes make it way more confrontational. It packs one helluva punch, that's for sure.
Little Simz is set to join SOAK, Spring King, Gengahr and Jack Garratt out in Texas as part of BBC Introducing's SXSW showcase; more details on that can be found here.
