Listen to Kreezus, the Christmas-themed parody of Kanye West's Yeezus
As fantastic as Kanye West's confrontational art-rap LP Yeezus was, no one could ever call it a festive collection of tunes. ,
Jolly collective Local Business Comedy have rectified that by turning Yeezus into Kreezus. Yes, it's a Christmas-themed, Weird Al-esque remake of one of hip-hop's most serious albums. It's clearly taken a long time, recreating the samples and backing tracks, transforming the lyrics into Yuletide, beat-perfect versions and honing those Kanye impressions.
Featuring amazing reworks such as "Red Hat Head" ("Black Skinhead"), "Wrapping 2" ("Bound 2"), "I Am A Claus" ("I Am A God") and "Lights On The Trees" ("Blood On The Leaves"), Kreezus is an anthology of on point comedy-rap and jaw-dropping metamorphoses.
Local Business Comedy describe the endeavour in the Soundcloud blurb as "If Kanye West made a Christmas album where he believed he is Santa Claus, it would be this."
It's genuinely phenomenal.
