Legendary lo-fi singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston appeared on BBC Radio 6 Music this weekend, speaking to Mary Anne Hobbs about his status as a “cult icon”.
In the short interview, streaming below, Johnston discusses the feeling of still selling out shows over 30 years on from his seminal LP Hi, How Are You?. The musician also touches upon how he continues to inspire younger generations as well as not having to work in McDonalds for decades.
