Liima unveil new single "2-Hearted" and glorious new vid
Liima have unveiled dizzying warped-pop tune "2-Hearted", another song from their upcoming record 1982.
The song follows "1982", the lead single and title track from Liima's next long-player. Greek artist and photographer Mariana Bisti directed "2-Hearted"'s staggering accompanying visuals - it's based on a work of her own named "wěndìng fánróng" (which means 'stability and prosperity' in Mandarin).
"'2-Hearted' is about a conflict of the love for two different directions - wanting two different people or opposite directions in life at the same time, and to find an acceptance within the situation rather than a choice," explains the band's Casper Clausen. "We wrote this song in Viseu, Portugal at the Jardins Efemeros Festival. It’s the first song we have made using the often-damned auto-tune effect. We feel the auto-tune contra the clean vocal fits the duality of this song."
The group, which features the three members of Efterklang as well as Finnish perccussionist and frequent collaborator Tatu Rönkkö, are following up last year's debut LP ii. Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor co-produced Liima's second full-length offering.
As well as the new song, Liima have also announced a European headline tour - find out full details.
