LIFE unveil new track "Duck Egg Blue"
LIFE have unveiled new song "Duck Egg Blue" as the fourth taster of their third album North East Coastal Town.
"Duck Egg Blue" will appear on LIFE's third album with earlier singles "The Drug", "Big Moon Lake" and "Friends Without Names", and is accompanied by a video made by Lydia Palmeira.
Vocalist Mez Green says of the new outing, ""Duck Egg Blue" is a realist's love song. The journey of trying to navigate through each other’s feelings and emotions, the strains of close quarters trapped in a tiny flat, the minutiae of everyday life. The overarching sentiment is that no matter what happens, after all that is said and done, we love each other, and we are there for each other."
North East Coastal Town will follow LIFE's 2019 second album A Picture of Good Health.
"Hull and the surrounding area runs through our DNA and has shaped us, weathered us, empowered us, embraced us and made us feel accepted," Green said of the album. "North East Coastal Town is our love letter to the city. The album is an ode to kinship and relationship with its musical and lyrical spine picking out themes of love, desire, beauty, horror, chaos, pride and most importantly the sense of belonging."
Green added, "It’s a reflective body of work dedicated to people and place and those that have always been there and made us feel like we belong.'
