LICE announce debut album with menacing lead single "R.D.C."
LICE have announced their debut album WASTELAND: What Ails Our People Is Clear, and have unveiled rumbling new song "R.D.C." as the lead single.
"R.D.C." follows on from June's "Arbiter" and "Folla", and February's "Conveyor", all of which will appear on LICE's debut LP.
WASTELAND: What Ails Our People Is Clear is a concept album structured as a experimental short fiction, and will see LICE introduce their hand-built noise instrument, which is based on the Intonarumori of Luigi Russolo.
The concept album is described as being set in a "savage, liminal space populated by shape-shifters, time-travellers, talking genitalia and ectoplasmic spectres", and was created over two years.
LICE's album closer "Clear" will feature guest vocals from Katy J Pearson and Goat Girl’s Lottie Cream and Holly Hole.
