Liam Gallagher teases new single "Shockwave" and announces intimate London show
Liam Gallagher has teased new single "Shockwave" from his forthcoming second solo album, and has announced an intimate London show for next week.
"Shockwave" will be Gallagher's first single since his 2017 debut solo album As You Were.
The new single, teased on Instagram, will arrive the day after the premiere of his new documentary, As It Was.

Speaking about his return to music, Gallagher said, "I’m buzzing. Buzzing to be alive, buzzing to be making tunes, raring to go. It’s nice to be back with some new music because it means I can get out there, play some gigs and give some people some stick because that is what I do. Let’s face it, it’s boring without me."
Earlier this week, Gallagher also confirmed the title of his second record on Twitter, WHY ME? WHY NOT.

Speaking to Best Fit, As It Was director Charlie Lightening revealed, "I just wanted to show Liam as I know him, how I see him, and how I spend time with him. He’s just a normal geezer that has his bad days. There isn’t really anything more that you could put into this film to show his personality, because it’s all in there. Like his mum says, he’s never changed, he’s always been true to himself."
In celebration of his upcoming single, Gallagher also announced an intimate London show to take place on 5 June at Hackney Round Chapel, which is now sold out.
