Liam Gallagher announces new live album Down By The River Thames
Liam Gallagher has shared plans to release a new live album titled Down By The River Thames, which is a recording of his December 2020 virtual gig of the same name.
Down By The River Thames was recorded on 5 December 2020 during Gallagher's virtual gig of the same name, which saw him perform on a barge floating down the River Thames, passing some of London's famous landmarks on the way.
The live album features performances of Gallagher's Why Me? Why Not. tracks "Shockwave" and "The River", as well as Oasis classics "Morning Glory", "Cigarettes & Alcohol", "Supersonic" and "Champagne Supernova".
Gallagher said of the live album, "So here it is, the gig they said we could never pull off! As we were in lockdown, bored and depressed, rock ‘n’ roll came to save the day once again. It was a top night and a top gig and it’s captured here on record for you to all enjoy."
