Let's Eat Grandma have End Of The Road Festival wrapped around their fingers as they play to a starry-eyed crowd in the Big Top.
The teenage twosome deliver quirk-sodden abstract pop to the lucky attendees, showcasing material from last year's I, Gemini debut - including fan favourite "Eat Shiitake Mushrooms", a sensationally bizarre prog. pop saga full of instrument changes, hair flicks, and throbbing rhythms. The hip-hop breakdown is jarringly brilliant - it shouldn't fit but it really, really does.
Let's Eat Grandma charm with effervescent melodies and abrupt 90-degree stylistic turns - this is a band that relishes the unexpected and is better off for it.
End Of The Road continues tonight with sets from Father John Misty, Ty Segall, and more.
