Lana Del Rey deactivates social media accounts, wants to "keep my circle a little bit closer"
Yesterday (12 September) Lana Del Rey announced that she would be deactivating her social media accounts, stating that she wants to "keep my circle a little bit closer".
After announcing details of her upcoming album Blue Banisters last week, Lana Del Rey has deactivated her social media accounts.
Del Rey shared a video yesterday (12 September) explaining the reason for coming off social media, saying it "is simply because I have so many other interests, and other jobs I’m doing that require privacy and transparency."
She continued, "I'm obviously continuing to make my spoken word albums and my records, and writing my short poetry books, and that i'm still very present and I love what I do, and I'm absolutely out here for the music."
Del Rey also spoke about Blue Banisters, saying it's "a compilation of older songs and newer songs written by family and friends and mostly old collaborators, and there will probably always be more to come."
After thanking fans, Del Rey added, "For right now, I think I’m going to just keep my circle a little bit closer and continue to develop some other skills and interests."
