Lambchop release fresh EP with new track "So Modern and so Tight"
Lambchop have returned with a fresh EP titled Basement Tapes, which arrives with new song "So Modern and so Tight".
Basement Tapes is the band's first collection of tracks since releasing their This (Is What I Wanted to Tell You) album in March.
Lambchop's EP features new song "So Modern and so Tight", as well as remixes of "This Is What I Wanted to Tell You" and "Crosswords, or What This Says About You".
Their new track, "So Modern and so Tight", was partly written with Bon Iver's Matthew Mccaughan, and mixed by Andrew Broder.
Vocalist Kurt Wagner says of their new song, "This mix was created by Andrew Broder a visual artist, musician and producer from the wilds of Minneapolis. We met during the PEOPLE gathering in Berlin last summer. It was based on a track that I had started with Matthew Mccaughan that was part of group of songs we were working on for "This is what I wanted to tell you". Andrew edited and re imagined the piece into something quite lovely and mysterious. So much in fact it's really not so much a remix but a new song unto itself."
