Lady Gaga to appear on The Muppets Thanksgiving Special
-
Having sported a Kermit dress and later accompanied the real thing to the 2009 VMAs, Lady Gaga is once again teaming up with the Muppets, this time for a festive TV special.
The Jim Henson fan featured pieces from his Creature Shop on her 2010 Monster Ball tour, but this time they’ll be joining in – helping her perform ‘Applause’ alongside other tracks from her upcoming ARTPOP LP, with Kermit even assisting in a duet. Other guests will include Sir Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, RuPaul and Kristin Bell.
“I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year,” Gaga says on the network’s website: “I knew it just wouldn’t be a complete night of laughter and memories without the Muppets! Can’t wait to see the gang again, and I hope Miss Piggy’s still not mad about Kermit – we’re just friends!”
Fans of 2001′s A Very Gaga Thanksgiving and A Muppet Christmas Carol can look forward to the 90-minute special on 28 November, when it will air on ABC from 9:30-11 p.m ET in the U.S.
ARTPOP is released 11 November.
