Lady Gaga delivers new single "Hold My Hand"
Lady Gaga has released her new single "Hold My Hand", which will feature in the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick film.
"Hold My Hand" is Lady Gaga's first new outing since last year's Grammy-winning collaborative album with Tony Bennett, Love For Sale, and is produced by Lady Gaga, BloodPop, and features additional production from Benjamin Rice.
The new track was writtten for, and will feature in the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick film.
Last week Lady Gaga wrote of the track on Instagram, "When I wrote this song for Top Gun: Maverick, I didn’t even realise the multiple layers it spanned across the film’s heart, my own psyche, and the nature of the world we’ve been living in. I’ve been working on it for years, perfecting it, trying to make it ours. I wanted to make music into a song where we share our deep need to both be understood and try to understand each other—a longing to be close when we feel so far away and an ability to celebrate life’s heroes."
The new song also marks Lady Gaga's first film soundtrack contribution since 2018's A Star Is Born.
