LA PRIEST announces debut album Inji, shares new single "Party Zute / Learning To Love"
LA PRIEST, née Sam Dust, has detailed his debut long-player. It's called Inji, and it'll be out this summer.
It took Dust five years to record following the demise of previous project Late Of The Pier, and in that time he shared snippets of LA PRIEST, but this marks the first proper release under his 'new' name.
"Party Zute / Learning To Love" is an eight-and-a-half minute prog-pop escapade with crackly falsetto, late-night smooth jazz, experimental dance beats and rampant sampling. Though it begins erratic and disparate, over the lengthy duration we see Dust lasso in the elements to create a deliciously epic house-funk epic.
Inji is out via Domino on 29 June.
