La Luz unveil new single "Oh, Blue"
La Luz have delivered new single "Oh, Blue" as the latest preview of their upcoming self-titled debut album that drops next month.
"Oh, Blue" follows earlier releases "Metal Man", "The Pines", "Here on Earth", "Watching Cartoons" and "In The Country", and is accompanied by a lyric video directed by the band themselves.
La Luz's Shana Cleveland wrote of the new outing on Instagram, "Shana here, today we're releasing "Oh, Blue", one of my favorite songs from our upcoming album. I'm a daydreamer all the time, but especially when we're on the road as we so often are. With this song I wanted to convey the sweetly disorienting feeling of traveling and waking up in a different place everyday while being deeply in love and living this kind of parallel life inside my mind. It turned out more beautiful than I ever could have imagined thanks to my amazing bff bandmates and Adrian Younge’s production."
La Luz will follow the band's 2018 album Floating Features, and was recorded Linear Labs Studio in LA with producer Adrian Younge. Younge says of working with La Luz, "We both create music with the same attitude, and that’s what I love about them. They are never afraid to be risky and their style is captivating. I don’t work with many bands, but I love taking chances on people that share the same vision. We both love to be ourselves, and it was an honor to work with them."
