L Devine will release new single "Naked Alone" next week
Newcastle's L Devine caught up with Best Fit at The Great Escape and revealed her next single "Naked Alone" is arriving next week.
L Devine hasn't released new music since last year's Peer Pressure. Speaking to Best Fit today (9 May), L Devine revealed that her next single is only round the corner, "I’ve got a new song, “Naked Alone” that’s coming out on 17 May, so that’s exciting."
Expanding on how long the new single has been in the works for, L Devine told Best Fit, ""Naked Alone", I’ve actually had for…I actually wrote the song nearly two years ago. That’s not usually the case, usually I just write them and then they come out over the next few months, but this one I’ve been sitting on for a while, just trying to find the right time to put it out, but it’s time."
Speaking about communicating with Charli XCX, who has publically praised the 21-year-old singer/songwriter, L Devine said, "Yeah, after Peer Pressure she showed me a huge love, and she was even talking about Peer Pressure in a few interviews which was so cool. But yeah, we DM’d and stuff, chatted a bit - she’s just such a legend and I love her so much. I would love to work with her one day, that would be so cool."
L Devine told Best Fit about her dream collaborations too, "Right now I love Koffee. She’s so sick. I love her stuff so much. I love Christine and the Queens as well, she’s amazing."
Asked about whether she misses home while being in Brighton, L Devine added, "I’ll never forget where I’m from - I’m definitely still a Geordie."
