Kyary Pamyu Pamyu reveals dazzling visuals for pop belter "Harajuku Iyahoi"
"Princess of Kawaii Harajuku Culture" Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has revealed a brilliant set of visuals for new single "Harajuku Iyahoi".
The clip reunites Kyary with director Hideyuki Tanaka - the mind behind last year's “Sai & Co” vid.
"[This] is such a fun song with cool sounds and a funny mysterious word 'IYAHOI'," Kyary says. "I would like people to enjoy two contradicting aspects in one song. I feel this song became a very unique party song. In the music video, I was very particular about the contrast of my costumes. Main KPP costume of blue and silver represents 'coolness' flavor, and dancers costume expresses pop flavor with pink and lavender color. Towards the end, many of bizarre dancers appear, and they are very pop but at the same time they don’t hesitate to expose their madness. I hope you enjoy the contradiction and a sense of coherence!!"
The video arrives after the preview for Kyary's collaboration with Charli XCX and Yasutaka Nakata, "Crazy Crazy".
