Kurt Vile announces 2012 European dates
Kurt Vile, the man with the magic in his hair returns in 2012 with a string of tour dates following on from his – frankly triumphant – shows earlier this year. The dates includes a special set at London’s KOKO as part of the NME Awards shows.
February 2012
20th – The Haunt, Brighton
21st – KOKO (NME Awards Show), London
22nd – Le Nouveau Casino, Paris
23rd – Botanique, Brussels
The shows follow the release of So Outta Reach, a 6-track EP containing songs initially recorded during the Smoke Ring For My Halo sessions, plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Downbound Train’. The EP is currently available as a limited 12″ vinyl, and is also included in the deluxe reissue of Smoke Ring For My Halo (also out now). Worth it for the Springsteen cover alone that has been the set closer for Vile’s live sets for some time. Listen to ‘Life’s A Beach’ below.
