Kraftwerk kick off Tate Modern residency with two-hour set
Kraftwerk have kicked off their retrospective residency with a two-hour set.
The first gig of an eight-date stint, the electronic pioneers played their 1974 LP, Autobahn, to a 1,250 strong crowd at the London venue.
The German group had unveiled plans last year to play all their eight albums in full at the gallery’s Turbine Hall, all part of a 3D audiovisual affair.
This premiere outing was their first London gig since 2004.
