Kraftwerk announce new 3-D The Catalogue audio/video boxset
Kraftwerk have announced a new boxset called 3-D The Catalogue - it's described as a "3D audio/video documentary of [their] performances in... museums of the world."
3-D The Catalogue brings Kraftwerk's concerts to the small screen in high-def 3D with Dolby Atmos surround sound - it'll be out on Blu-Ray, DVD, vinyl, CD, and digital download, with various deluxe and special editions also available.
Part documentary, part concert film, the project collects eight records from the pioneering German band filmed and recorded between 2002 and 2016 at MoMA (New York), The Tate Modern Turbine Hall (London), Akasaka Blitz (Tokyo), Opera House (Sydney), Norske Opera (Oslo), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris), and Neue National Galerie (Berlin).
The set is being released to coincide with the band's upcoming UK tour dates in June.
