Kompakt to release classical reworkings to celebrate 20th anniversary
Influential electronic label, Kompakt are set to release an album of classical music reimaginings by chamber composer Gregor Schwellenbach.
The collection will see the imprint’s selected discography reworked by Schwellenbach, along with Dorothee Oberlinger (on flute), Christian Buck (guitar) and Jane Berthe (harp).
It’ll go by the name Gregor Schwellenbach Spielt 20 Jahre Kompakt, featuring tracks by Michael Mayer plus others, and will be released by Kompakt themselves on 27 May.
The release celebrates 20 years of the Cologne-based staple, with the tracklisting reading in full as below:
