Kissability label launches w/ DZ Deathrays, Crushed Beaks
Last night saw the launch of Kissability, the new cassette-only label founded by Jen Long in association with Transgressive Records.
In celebration, the Radio 1 DJ threw a mighty swell Halloween bash at Islington’s Buffalo Bar to promote the label’s formation.
The bill’s line-up included noisey Aussies DZ Deathrays (whose Ruined My Life EP was the first pressed on the soon-to-be iconic pink cassette), the self-proclaimed “four geeky childmen with skinny girl wrists and a taste for creating angular, intricate punk” but more accurately “dudes dressed in tape and David Cameron masks” Ice, Sea, Dead People and scuzz-pop darlings Crushed Beaks.
The show was recorded live and will pressed onto cassette, available to buy online after the show. Find out more by clicking on this handy hyperlink.
