
King Princess is second in the BBC Sound Of 2019 poll
Brooklyn's multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter King Princess takes the second spot on BBC Sound Of 2019's shortlist.
Grace Carter was named as number three in the poll yesterday, while slowthai was named as fourth in the shortlist on Tuesday (8 January), while Spanish singer Rosalía was named fifth in the poll on Monday (7 January).
20-year-old King Princess returned with new track "Pussy Is God" in November 2018, and delivered debut EP Make My Bed in 2018.
The adolescent pop icon turned a record deal down from Virgin Records when she was just 11, and has since gone on to sign with Mark Ronson’s Zelig label.
Last year Norwegian pop star Sigrid took the BBC Sound Of 2018 top spot.
