King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard announce new album with mellow lead single "Fishing For Fishies"
Australian psych group King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard are back with news of a new record, announced alongside the playful lead single "Fishing For Fishies".
"Fishing For Fishies" arrives after January's space cut "Cyboogie", which marked their first new song since their five album releases in 2017.
The new single is the title-track from their forthcoming album, and arrives with a playful animation created by Jason Galea.
On their upcoming 14th album, frontman Stu Mackenzie says, "We tried to make a blues record. A blues-boogie-shuffle-kinda-thing, but the songs kept fighting it - or maybe it was us fighting them. Ultimately though we let the songs guide us this time; we let them have their own personalities and forge their own path. Paths of light, paths of darkness. This is a collection of songs that went on wild journeys of transformation."
