Kim Gordon and Bill Nace recruit Aaron Dilloway for new album as Body/Dilloway/Head
Kim Gordon and Bill Nace's Body/Head project has teamed up with Aaron Dilloway to form Body/Dilloway/Head, and they've released "Goin' Down" as the first taster of their forthcoming self-titled album.
The last album from Body/Head was 2018's The Switch, and for their upcoming album. Gordon and Nace have joined forces with Aaron Dilloway, expanding their project to form Body/Dilloway/Head.
"Goin' Down" is the first track from the newly-formed trio, and also lands as the first preview of their upcoming self-titled album due out in November.
According to Pitchfork, Gordon said of the new project, "One of the things I like most about playing improvised music and especially in Body/Head with Bill is the constantly exhilarating freedom and surprise about what is going to happen at any given moment. Making this record with Aaron Dilloway, who I have always admired so much, added in another layer of unknown and another way of giving up control. Aaron took our sounds / music as a source and had ‘his way with it’ so to speak, crushing whatever narrative that existed in order to enter into it and making something different than what we would have done as Body/Head."
