Kickstarter campaign launched to help complete The Slits documentary
A campaign to help complete a documentary on legendary punk band The Slits has been launched.
Titled Here To Be Heard: The Story of The Slits, production began on the film prior to the death of frontwoman Ari Up in 2010. The funding page states that the documentary is “nearly finished” with £19,500 required to complete the project.
A statement on the page reads: “Without your help it will be increasingly difficult for this project to live up to it’s full potential. Not just in terms of it’s story, ethos, music and message, but in terms of all the hard work and talent that has been poured into this project already.”
