Kendrick Lamar has written "30-40 songs" for new album
Kendrick Lamar is set to release his new album later this year, recently revealing further details about the LP in interview with Complex.
Lamar’s upcoming record will be the follow-up to 2012’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, with the rapper confirmed to have recorded “30 to 40 new songs” for the full-length. Lamar is still said to be “getting his ideas down” for a “fourth quarter releas” and is currently “flirting with ideas” for a title.
“Kendrick trusts that his creative process will lead him where he needs to go,” Top Dawg boss Terrence “Punch” Henderson told the mag, while Lamar’s manager added: “There were so many things I thought he was gonna talk about in good kid that he didn’t… All these other stories, shit that will blow your brain, have never been heard before because they’re just too personal”.
The album was previously thought to be released in September.
