Kendrick Lamar encourages young fan to "do what you want to do in life" in heartwarming clip
During a recent show on his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers tour, Kendrick Lamar spoke to a young fan in the front row while performing, telling him to "do what you want to do in life", and also gave the fan a handwritten note.
A video clip posted by the young fan's father shows Lamar addressing his son at the end of "Count Me Out", calling him "Little Kendrick" and telling him to "do what you want to do in life." While you can't hear every word Lamar says to the young fan, at one point in the clip, Lamar tells him, "I'll always remember my first concert," and adds, "You can do whatever you want to put your mind to. You understand?"
The father of the young fan also shared a second post featuring a handwritten note from Lamar himself, which reads: "Young Kendrick. Thank you for coming. I'm glad we got to exchange energy. You are special. Continue to manifest the great energy you possess!!! See you next time!!! Luv!!!"
