Kendrick Lamar closes career-spanning Day N Vegas set by saying he'll be back "very soon"
Over the weekend Kendrick Lamar performed a career-spanning set at Day N Vegas Festival, and before exiting the stage, he told the crowd that he'll be back "very soon."
Lamar's Day N Vegas performance last Friday (12 November) marked his first live show of 2021, and although he didn't perform any unreleased material, he did mark the 10-year anniversary of his debut album Section.80, and brought out his cousin Baby Keem for "family ties" and "range brothers".
His final song of the night was good kid, m.A.A.d city's "Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst", and shortly before exiting the stage, Lamar told the crowd, "Vegas, till next time. And when I say next time, very soon."

Last month fans were convinced Lamar's return was imminent after he updated his Spotify profile picture for the first time since 2017. While new music is yet to arrive, he did appear on Terrace Martin's "Drones" song earlier this month alongside Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla $ign and James Fauntleroy.
In August Lamar posted a statement revealing that he was producing his "final TDE album". A month later a bunch of new songs were registered via the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
