Katy Perry will play the Superbowl 2015 halftime show, "sources" close to Billboard say.
The news comes after the singer was reportedly shortlisted alongside Rihanna and Coldplay to perform the lucrative gig - so lucrative (there's an audience of over 100 million), that the NFL were apparently to instigate a 'pay-to-play' scheme whereby labels and artists had to financially contribute for the chance to play.
Maybe Perry'll snag that coveted spot; perhaps it's all just a... Teenage Dream.
