Katy Perry shares new music fresh from the studio
ICYMI, 2016's been a bit shit - but the promise of a "better 2017" looks a real possibility thanks to the Katy Perry's studio goofery.
Katy posted a split second of a song from the studio! Don't be scared to die? don't be scared to cry? Whatcha think? https://t.co/IyuwFuObFf pic.twitter.com/j1G4mhR1Ie

The sound's pretty crappy, but there's definitely at least one new tune in there. Probably two.
First up is a spaced-out funk snippet with a fragment of Perry's voice, and the econd sounds almost like dream-pop, with floaty vocals and blippy synths, but we're 100% stabbing the dark.
Perry's previous (p)record Prism arrived in 2013 - so by the time her next record is out (unless she Beyoncés it tomorrow or something), we'll have had "Roar" and "Dark Horse" rattling around our heads for four years. Sure, we had the damp squib of "Rise" and that Christmassy thingy in 2015, but nothing proper for almost half a decade.
