Katy J Pearson and Tiña's Josh Loftin cover Michael Farneti’s "The River"
Katy J Pearson has teamed up with Tiña's Josh Loftin to cover Michael Farneti's "The River", released today as part of Bandcamp Friday.
Pearson's cover of Farneti's "The River" is the first new outing from the singer/songwriter since her debut album Return arrived in November last year.
The cover was recorded with additional vocals from Tiña's Josh Loftin, and features Molly Shields on piano and Robert Pearson on acoustic guitar.
Pearson wrote of the cover on Instagram, "Covers and others is back! I have been obsessed with Michael Farneti’s song "The River" for such a long time now. He is a true wonder. So thought I’d cover it! With special guest vocals from Josh Loftin of Tiña. As well as Piano from Molly shields and guitar by Bob."
She added, "You can buy it from my bandcamp and all proceeds will be going to National Star College an amazing further education college which my brother David attended for 16-24 year olds with complex disabilities."
