Kate Nash announces new EP Agenda, shares breezy lead single "Call Me"
Kate Nash has announced her new Agenda EP and shared lead single "Call Me".
The short player will be Nash's first official release since 2013, and follows last year's "Good Summer" single. It's a breezy new ode bursting with sunrays and Beach Boys-y backing vocals - Nash's voice swans through dreamy pop melodies to add a barbed passion.
"‘Call me’ is about going through a lot of stuff and surviving it, hitting your lowest point and coming back from that," says Nash. "Once you have you can help other people get through it too, it's about pain being useful as it can be used as advice and support and wisdom when other friends/loved ones go through rough patches. Call on me when you go through it."
This week the singer/songwriter/punk/activist also launched a Kickstarter to help get her fourth record made - she's already raised nearly $50,000 for the project.
Nash recently confirmed a UK tour, including a date at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire, to celebrate the 10th birthday of award-winning debut Made Of Bricks. Find out more.
It's set to be a busy year for Nash, who is starring alongside Alison Brie (Community, Mad Men) in a new Netflix comedy inspired by the true story of a '80s wrestling league for women. It's called G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling) and has some big names behind it, including Jenji Kohan and Carly Mensch (Orange Is the New Black) and Liz Flahive (Homeland).
