Kate Bush announces B-sides, rarities, and covers release The Other Sides
Kate Bush has announced new release The Other Sides, collating her B-sides, rare tracks, covers, and 12" mixes under one title.
The Other Sides is the final piece to Kate Bush's definitive remastered collection, which started in November 2018.
Spread across four discs, the upcoming release will consist of B-sides, 12" mixes, rare tracks, and covers, including her version of Elton John's "Rocketman" and "Candle In The Wind", as well as George and Ira Gershwin’s "The Man I Love".
On her Elton John cover, Bush explains, "I remember buying this when it came out as a single by Elton John. I couldn’t stop playing it - I loved it so much. Most artists in the mid-seventies played guitar but Elton played piano and I dreamed of being able to play like him".
The video is released today for the first time since its original tv broadcast.
Some of the rarities include her "Brazil" movie track, and "Lyra" from The Golden Compass film, and "Humming", an unreleased demo.
