Kasabian confirm singer Tom Meighan has left the band
Kasabian have revealed on socials today that their lead vocalist Tom Meighan has left the band due to "personal issues".
The group formed in Leicester back in 1997 with original members Tom Meighan, guitarist and vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards, and released their self-titled debut album in 2004 with drummer Ian Matthews.
Kasabian have today (6 July) announced on socials that Meighan is no longer in the band. They write, "Tom Meighan is stepping down from Kasabian by mutual consent. Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track. We will not be commenting further."
