Kasabian and Foo Fighters bookies' favourites to headline Glastonbury 2014
Glastonbury 2K13 has only just closed up shop and bookies and already looking next year’s festival with Kasabian and Foo Fighters being the favourites to headline.
One of largest bookmakers in the UK, William Hill puts the two rock bands neck and neck at 6/1 with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and The Stone Roses in third and fourth place with 8/1 and 10/1.
Elsewhere, David Bowie, Kanye West and Black Sabbath are all given the same 25/1 odds of headlining the fest, while Daft Punk have a 20/1 chance and Bob Dylan 16/1.
“Kasabian and the Foo Fighters are festival royalty and with some new material potentially in the offing, they are always going to be in the forefront of the Glasto thinking next year,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Although with Sabbath (25/1) reforming and scaling the charts with their new release and a potential Oasis (25/1) anniversary in the offing, there is a little bit of outside value to be found in the market.”
