Kanye West’s Yeezus tour kicked off in Seattle over the weekend, and we’ve already reported on the decadence of its mountains, pyramids and Jesus impersonator – but now, thanks to creative director Virgil Abloh’s Instagram feed, we’ve seen its gloriously OTT merch.
T-shirts, hoodies and tote bags are emblazoned with images of skeletons kneeling in prayer or brandishing scythes, draped in confederate flags and Native American headdresses. They’re captioned with ‘God Wants You’ and ‘Ain’t Comin’ Down’, looking more reminiscent of an 80s heavy metal album than of Kanye’s previous, Givenchy-inspired designs.
