Kanye West still working on new album with Rick Rubin
Kanye West might live to regret that ambiguous ‘June 18′ tweet that led everyone to believe his new album’s coming out on that date, as he appears to still be working on the release.
The New York Post report that the rapper has recruited uber-producer and Columbia Records co-President Rick Rubin to help finish off the LP.
Rubin has been helping West “lay down additional tracks for the record,” the Post say. Meanwhile executives at Def Jam have “spent the week haggling over rights for a vocal he used on his song ‘Onsite’.”
“Even by Kanye West standards, this is pushing it,” said one source.
You can check out live footage of new tracks from the record, including the aforementioned ‘Onsite’ and ‘I Am A God’ here.
