Kanye West producing new Charlie Wilson album, adds dates to Yeezus tour
It’s no secret that Kanye West and GAP Band frontman Charlie Wilson are friends, the latter being integral to the rapper’s live show at the moment. Now, with news of more dates being added to his upcoming Yeezus tour, it’s also been revealed that West will helm Wilson’s next album.
“Kanye is starting on a new record for me,” Wilson recently told MTV. “Kanye is one of the greatest rapper/producers that we have. He’s a little controversial, yeah, but he’s still a genius and that in the studio. He wants to produce me, so we’ll see how that goes. He’s been asking for a while and I’ve just been busy.”
As well as this, West has added shows in Anaheim, Columbus, Montreal, Philadelphia, Washington, DC and Atlanta for his upcoming autumn/winter North American tour, which Wilson may or may not be a part of.
