Back in 2006, Mos Def called on one Kanye West to produce a track for his upcoming album True Magic. While the record in question did indeed get released later that year, the cut that Kanye helped out with was ultimately shelved. But now, with a new album coming under the name Yasiin Bey, Mos Def has decided it’s the right time to let the public listen to the track recorded for his third LP.
‘The Light Is Not Afraid of The Dark’ features typical West production of the mid-late 2000s, with smooth lounge-room jazz flow reconfigured for the dancefloor.
