Kanye West previews Donda album at Atlanta listening party with surprise Jay-Z collaboration
Last night (22 July) Kanye West played his highly-anticipated Donda album at a stadium-sized listening party in Atlanta, and it featured a surprise Jay-Z collaboration.
During last night's Donda listening party at Atlanta's Mercedes Benz Stadium, Kanye West played more than a dozen tracks to around 42,000 fans while standing and walking around the middle of the stadium.
Ye's listening party, which was expected to start at 8pm local time, didn't kick off until 9:50pm. The rapper gave no formal introduction to the album, and just started blasting the music from the speakers.
The tracks, which covered family, religion and loss, featured collaborations with Pusha T, Travis Scott, the late Pop Smoke, Baby Keem, Lil Baby and more. For the final song, the rapper debuted an unexpected collaboration with Jay-Z. According to Young Guru, Jay-Z recorded his verse on that track at 4pm (local time) on the day of the listening party.

During one of the songs, West repeatedly stated, "I'm losing my family", which is likely a reference to his divorce from Kim Kardashian. His wife of nearly seven years did attend the listening party with their children and sister Khloe Kardashian.
