Kanye West is set to be recognised for his comprehesive visual talent and creative vision at this year's MTV VMAs.
Full-named as the 'Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award', the honour will see Ye join the likes of Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, and Beastie Boys, and is given "to musicians who have made a profound effect on the MTV culture, honouring an artist’s body of work.” It dates back to the first year of the awards ceremony, 1984.
This year will see Miley Cyrus host the ceremony on 30 August.
