Kamasi Washington is back with his first new material of 2022, "The Garden Path".
Washington's new release is his first of 2022, and follows last year's cover of Metallica's "My Friend of Misery" and "Sun Kissed Child".
"The world feels turned upside down," Washington explains of the song. "There’s so much push and pull in every direction, from everyone you meet - no one knows what to think, who to believe, or how to approach life right now. No matter how smart you are, it’s hard not to feel blind."
He's yet to follow up 2018's Heaven and Earth album and its companion EP The Choice.
Kamasi Washington's new single "The Garden Path" is out now on Young.
