Kamasi Washington delivers new track "Sun Kissed Child"
Grammy-nominated musician Kamasi Washington has delivered new track "Sun Kissed Child", which appears on the Liberated/Music for the Movement Vol. 3 EP.
"Sun Kissed Child", which features Marlon Williams on guitar and vocals from Patrice Quinn and Dwight Trible, is Washington's first new release of 2021, and follows his contribution to the cover of Marvin Gaye's "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)" that featured at the 2021 Grammys.
The new song appears on the latest Liberated EP released as part of The Undefeated’s Music for the Movement series. The EP also features songs by Chlöe Bailey, Cordae with Common and more.
Washington is yet to follow up 2018's Heaven and Earth album and its companion The Choice.
