Justin Timberlake scores UK #1 album, beats David Bowie as fastest-seller of the year
Justin Timberlake has picked up his third number 1 album in the UK, with comeback record The 20/20 Experience debuting at top spot in its first week.
The album, the pop singer’s first since 2006, knocks David Bowie off the top of the charts whilst also taking the title of the fastest-selling album of the year so far in the process. JT is confirmed by the Official Chart Company to have shifted nearly 106,000 copies this week.
Another new entry in the top 10 is Suede’s Bloodsports at tenth place, while Billy Bragg just misses out with Tooth & Nail charting at #13.
Elsewhere, the brilliant Daughter feature at number 16 with debut album If You Leave, with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Steve Mason and Woodkid also all reaching the top 40.
