Julien Baker, Aaron Dessner and more announced to play celebratory concert for Scott Hutchison
NYC's Rough Trade will host Julien Baker, The National's Aaron Dessner, Kevin Devine and many more in a night commemorating Frightened Rabbit's Scott Hutchison.
Back in May this year Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison died near Edinburgh. Since then Frightened Rabbit have been using their musical platform to discuss mental health more openly.
Their newly-announced event is Tiny Changes: A Celebration Of the Songs of Scott Hutchison. Taking place at NYC's Rough Trade store, Julien Baker, The National’s Aaron Dessner, Kevin Devine, The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn, and Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard will perform at the special concert later this year.
All the funds raised from the event will go to the Scott Hutchison Fund, which his brother Grant Hutchison explains further, "The Scott Hutchison Fund has been set up in memory of our beloved Scott. It will form the basis for a Mental Health Charity to be set up fully in the coming months. We hope to be able to help others the way Scott did with kindness, empathy and hope."

Since Scott Hutchison's passing, Robert Smith's curated Meltdown Festival back in the summer decided to use Frightened Rabbit's performance slot as a discussion panel on Mental Health And The Music Industry.
Frightened Rabbit also announced last month that they will perform at Glasgow's Sleep In The Park 2018.
Death Cab For Cutie revealed a heartfelt cover of Frightened Rabbit's "My Backwards Walk" last month.
